The Pittsworth Sprints are a timed event run on a street circuit in an industrial estate.
The competition is split into road registered and unregistered classes which are divided according to engine capacity. Allan Saunderson, son of one of our Queensland members, Garry Saunderson, was the only MK1 Cortina at the event and he put in a sterling effort to finish 5th in his class and without putting a scratch on his car - unlike many of his fellow competitors.
